Terms of Service
Effective:
Plain-language terms governing use of the Bonfire website and, once Phase 2 lands, any paid services. Phase 1 draft; lawyer review required before payment flows.
1. Acceptance
By using the Bonfire website, the open-source framework, or any related services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or the framework.
2. The framework
The Bonfire framework is open-source software distributed under the Apache-2.0 license. Your use of the framework is governed primarily by that license — these Terms cover the website and any hosted services that may launch in Phase 2 or beyond.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use the site to violate laws, infringe rights, deliver malware, or circumvent security. Do not scrape at rates that degrade service for others. Do not impersonate the operator.
4. No warranty
The website, framework, and any hosted services are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The operator makes no guarantee of uptime, completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Your use is at your own risk.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or the framework. Liability for direct damages, where applicable, is limited to the amount you paid (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim. In Phase 1, where no payments exist, that amount is zero.
6. Changes
These Terms may change. When they do, the effective date at the top of this page updates. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms. Material changes will be announced via the site before they take effect.
7. Contact
Questions about these Terms: open a GitHub issue on the framework repository, or contact the operator via the email address published on the GitHub profile.
