Refund Policy

Phase 1 status: no payments

Bonfire v1 in Phase 1 has no paid services. The open-source framework is free (Apache-2.0), and the website is free to read. There is nothing to refund because there is nothing being charged.

Phase 2 draft policy

When Phase 2 introduces paid tiers (planned $29/month Pro and $99/month Enterprise, numbers pending confirmation), the refund policy will be:

• First 14 days: full refund, no questions asked. Cancel from the account page or email the operator.
• After 14 days: pro-rated refund of the unused portion of the current subscription period if you cancel due to a bug, outage, or missing feature the operator cannot fix within a reasonable time.
• After 14 days, cancellation for any other reason: no refund for the current subscription period, but cancellation takes effect at the end of that period. You keep access until then. No auto-renewal charges after cancellation.
• Annual plans (if offered): same 14-day full-refund window, then pro-rated for the unused months on cancellation.

How to request a refund

Once Phase 2 ships: via the account page, via the payment provider's self-serve portal, or via email to the operator. Until Phase 2: not applicable.

Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy reduces your statutory rights under the consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction (e.g. EU 14-day right of withdrawal, UK Consumer Rights Act, US state consumer protection statutes). If your statutory rights give you more than what this policy offers, your statutory rights apply.

Refinement

This policy is a placeholder. It will be refined with lawyer review before Phase 2 payments launch. Material changes will be announced via the site before they take effect. Terms of anyone who buys on the Phase 1 draft (should that ever happen via a one-off arrangement) are governed by the draft in effect on their purchase date, not a later revision.
